. . . wait, Technicon, in addition to being in McBryde instead of an actual convention center, is shutting down at eleven PM?

I want to go this year: a couple days of solid gaming, plus Mr Martin and Ursula Vernon. It's growing more and more difficult to justify the time and expense, though.

Well, I'll be sad if you and Emily don't go... I echo everyone else in saying that the only reason I go is the people. Give me my friends, their games, and a flat surface and we can have a nice party.

I think far more than a crappy venue, what will kill the con is people seeing their friends just not go.

I am going, I've already gotten aeroplane transport reservations, and anyway I want a nice long weekend off. I'm staying with Adam, who has kindly taken that whole weekend off work to hang out with me, so if nothing else we can hang out there and play games and talk about code and spread wild rumors. I'm about half resigned to that being all that there is for me.

Well, and at least some time watching the wind and the leaves play together, which was always the best part of Blacksburg anyway.

We're still planning on going. We have a cheap hotel reservation and enjoy road-tripping with each other and there will be people there to game with. Those are reasons enough for now. Although, I strongly suspect that if we didn't already have the hotel reservation, we wouldn't be going.

Well that's good then. You and Tucker are among the few people worth dealing with the TSA to see.

Plus, you have cars. I was kinda wondering how to get a taxi to the Homeplace, since I know Adam doesn't drive.
