My first thought on the way home was "someone shaved their very thin corgi!" At second glance I'm pretty sure it was a dachshund/corgi cross. The internet tells me this is a "dorgi." I'm not sure whether I'm more disturbed that this exists at all, or that it exists enough that there's a name for it.

People come up with all kinds of cutesy names to justify backyard-breeding more designer breeds mutts.

Perhaps this dog was created by accident, and has been fixed and will never accidentally occur again, in which case, whatever, uncreative "breed" name.
Perhaps it was intentional, in which case the "breeders" need to be slapped, hard and repeatedly, until they promise and prove that they'll never do it again.

My sca friend Angustias has one of those. Mostly it just looks like a dachsund with a bit of the wider corgi skull. Don't think it was deliberate breeding though and she doesn't call him a dorgi (she calls him Leopold Stravinsky.)

The word "labradoodle" makes me irrationally angry for NO GOOD REASON AT ALL. AAARARRRRRRR*! This should not be how we use language.

*I'm unclear if irrational anger also makes me piratical. Further data needs to be collected.
