My first thought on the way home was "someone shaved their very thin corgi!" At second glance I'm pretty sure it was a dachshund/corgi cross. The internet tells me this is a "dorgi." I'm not sure whether I'm more disturbed that this exists at all, or that it exists enough that there's a name for it.

People come up with all kinds of cutesy names to justify backyard-breeding more designer breeds mutts.

Perhaps this dog was created by accident, and has been fixed and will never accidentally occur again, in which case, whatever, uncreative "breed" name.
Perhaps it was intentional, in which case the "breeders" need to be slapped, hard and repeatedly, until they promise and prove that they'll never do it again.

heh. I think you're entitled to. There are a number of references to them online but I can't tell if they're a bunch of one-offs or if they're actually A Thing.

Hard to say -- the proliferation of yorkiepoos, maltipoos, labradoodles, chiweenies, chi-poms, and the like would lend credence to A Thing, but one-offs could give a silly name too.
