Giant Icehouse
Jul. 10th, 2001 10:19 pmForgot about Thursday night's giant Icehouse game. Mike Sugarbaker brought his 8x foam pieces again this year, and we played a couple games of Giant Icehouse out in the walkway. Then we played tag-team Giant Icehouse, with the stashes on the balcony and one team member dropping pieces down to the other, who would send unwanted pieces back via escalator. Quite cool. And I think I won one of those games. I don't remember.
Re: So..
Icehouse
Date: 2001-07-11 01:10 pm (UTC)b) so how is Giant Icehouse played? I don't see it mentioned on the page..
Re: Icehouse
b) First, get ahold of a set of giant pieces. Mike Sugarbaker currently owns the only ones in existence, and he won't tell anyone how much he paid for them (guesses are in the upper three digits). Then play Icehouse. Same as normal rules, except crashing is a lot harder, and there's a lot more exercise running back and forth from your stash to wherever the playing action is.
Icehouse is a good game. Gnostica and Zendo are probably better, though... no manual dexterity element.
