I haven't been writing much. Life stress plus stuck on story plus moving stress equals about halfway (the easy half) through with the revision process.

But now it turns out there's a late-game replacement instructor at Viable Paradise.

Dammit. Now I /have/ to finish that %&$ story and get my application in. I may not make the cut but if I don't at least try this year I'll never be able to look myself in the eye again. Which would make shaving difficult.

Yeah, possibly I should get around to reading something by him...

I'd recommend either Agyar or The Sun, The Moon, And The Stars. Both are atypical Brust except for being filled with snark, good dialog, and fine prose. They're both deeply introspective books, and are among his best. (Do not read any reviews online of Agyar if you decide to read it. Just don't. You'll thank me later.)

Oh, right-- I hadn't read him before b/c my library system doesn't have anything of his. Enoch Pratt Free Library to the rescue again. (I really love MD's interlibrary loan system.) :)
