I have an apartment. (Floorplan 1C.) It is ginormous, it is within walking distance of work and of a Safeway, it has a washer and dryer, and it is costing me only one arm and leg. Downsides include that it's on the first floor, the washer and dryer are "portable" (the washer wheels over to the sink for its water hookup), and I can't get in 'til the fifteenth. So, an extra week of living with my parents and having a real commute to work. These things happen.

Of course this means that Moving will occur that weekend. Probably Sunday the sixteenth, starting around eleven, for DC-area folks. (Come! Help! I'll feed you! Plus you get to curse my name as you haul thirty bankers' boxes of books from the truck to the apartment!)

(Genuine updates to come later today, as I have nothing to do this afternoon but sit around and write.)

Sweet-- it's very nice.

Plus, you will have an "address of distinction" so that will be handy.

Best of Luck with everything!

Wow. Talk about convenience, sitting right in the middle of Tyson's Corner. Probably a bit noisy and such but I guess it'll be a taste of city life for you again, for better or worse.

Nice icon.
That's an insanely expensive apartment. I expected Houston to cost about that much, I was surprised.

Oh wow, those apartments look beautiful!

Hey, I'd help you move if I was close enough, you know. I wish I could help; you helped me a lot after all that happened.

Take care!

Sweeeeeeet!

First floor isn't TOOOOO bad. Not many stairs to maneuver after a big grocery shopping trip.

closer to moving time - let me know if you still need people. I might (fingers crossed) have the whole weekend off instead of just sunday/monday...

I might be able to help you move. Someone else I know is moving that weekend, but I think that's happening the 15th, and he hasn't even actually asked for help yet, so for now, unless I find out there's something else I'm suppose to be doing that day, I'll give you a hand. Not sure I could start right at 11a (might not be able to help before noonish or 1ish), though, in case that makes me useless.
