Hugo Weaving as V. Hrm. V For Vendetta is (damning with faint praise) probably Moore's most filmable work. And I don't doubt that Weaving can pull this off. On the minus side, it's in the hands of the Wachowski brothers, and I just can't see Natalie Portman as Evey Hammond.

IMDb sez release date is set for November 4. Sounds like a good reason to put off going to see it for a day.
