1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
Well, panel four contains "Jesus fuck--" "Vinnie, shift your ass! Get out of the way!"

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
The wall. Moving towards the nearest actual thing, the [empty] dust jacket for Sethra Lavode.

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Monkeys in balls racing. Non-video-game, I'm not sure but it may have been Boondock Saints.

4. WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
10:30

5. Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?
10:29

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
The ventilation system.

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
Last night around 9:45 when I came back from class. I was enjoying the not-too-chilly night and looking for the moon.

8. Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
Google's set as my homepage, but this was the first website I brought up.

9. What are you wearing?
Redskins-colors Folger t-shirt, hefty watch, underwear, el cheapo blue jeans, fuzzy black slippers.

10. Did you dream last night?
Yep. [I was wandering around houses I've never been to with [livejournal.com profile] jude, and she was giving me advice on life.]

11. When did you last laugh?
About ten minutes ago, reading [livejournal.com profile] pearlzb4swine.

12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
White paint and dark wood trim.

13. Seen anything weird lately?
The cover art for Sethra, in which we discover that "dagger" really means "honking large sword with weird flamberge-like flourishes on the bottom half of the blade." It's less weird than the cover art for The Lord of Castle Black [featuring Lord Morrolan of Melnibone].
Also I recently [re]heard Tori's cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit.

14. What do you think of this quiz survey?
S'awright. Mostly doing it 'cos it's been awhile.

15. What is the last film you saw?
Well, the last movie I saw was Hellboy on Satyrday, but I don't know if that counts as film per se. The last film I saw would probably be The Boxer.

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
Probably either a house in Shadowlake or a car that doesn't screech. That's after paying off all my debts.

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know
I had my first root canal before I was four years old.

18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
?
Like I should be trusted with that kind of power.

19. Do you like to dance?
. . . I'm not sure. Sometimes.

20. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
21. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
Probably something Welsh for both, because I maintain that the Welsh have a monopoly on the best names. Good balance between "cool" and "pronounceable by English-speakers."

22. Would you ever consider living abroad?
In a heartbeat.
"Home is just a place to lay your head
And dream of things to do in Denver when you're dead."

Don't forget that we also learn that dressing like a Lavode means wearing a very white shirt with your black pants. But, then, I've just accepted that Brust is never going to get a cover artist who actually has read enough of the book, much less the series, to know what's going on.

'Pronouncable by English speakers'? Have you ever actually HEARD Welsh? English words have vowels, man!
