9. Finally get around to plowing through my backlog of books, like Perez-Reverte's The Fencing Master, Pynchon's Mason & Dixon (picked that one up for $5... made my day), the Gormenghast trilogy, and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay.
(Any others I should add to the queue?)

lots of robin mckinley and patricia mckillip books. and charles de lint, and the wood wife by terri windling and blue moon rising by simon green, and the catswold portal by shirley rousseau murphy.

not exactly edifying reading, but good nonetheless. :)

emily's got decent amounts of pat mckillip here. _forgotten beasts of eld_ was pretty good. i couldn't get through the last book of the _riddle-master_ trilogy on account of wanting to smack morgon around until he stopped angsting.
she's also got tons of de lint, which i keep meaning to read. so that'll go in The Queue.
i'll keep an eye out for the other three.
