I suspect it was Laine McNamara some years ago on Mastodon, but at this point I'm comfortable with never knowing. It's certainly a book I'd expect to have heard good things about from multiple corners! I'm looking forward to it, when I do get around to it.

Heh. People who are serious about making madeleines are serious about the weird madeleine hump. Some of mine have something of a hump and some don't, and honestly I can't be bothered to figure out why or how. They're light and spongy and do reasonably well dunked in tea, and that's about all I care about.
