I worked from home for three years (2011-14) and it was really great for awhile, then a little isolating, then extremely problematic for reasons that may or not relate to working-from-home.

Pretty sure my ideal situation involves like one or two days a week onsite and the rest of the time at home.

It really is. I hate my coworkers /so/ much less when I don't have to see them five days a week.

Being on the bench, I'm not regularly working from home in order to keep myself visible to anyone who might want my work.

And I finally brought real tea and disposable tea bags into work so that I could make myself a decent cup as a part of my settling into the day routine. I don't mind drinking work-provided Brown Death flavor, but real tea just gives me a happier start.

That said, I'm WFH tomorrow morning to be there when the vet comes by...

That makes perfect sense.

I ought to break down and bring better tea in, honestly. Drinking the terrible office tea contributes to my general sense of hating everything.

I spend too much time at work to waste that much energy hating it. So I've gone to some amount of trouble to set up a happy space at work. On the wall directly above my computer, where I look up naturally, is a watercolor that my grandfather did of our family cabin in the woods. I have a picture of Achaosofkittens snuggling baby Scout-goat next to my second monitor. My pen holder is a weird vase-thingy that Achaosofkittens made in his pottery class, and it has highlighters and fake flowers in it.

I have real tea in my desk - both decaf and regular - and I have a beautiful wooden mug from Faire as my tea mug. I also have my own stash of cookies and snacks with the tea.

The biggest change, and the one that required permission, was replacing my overhead lights with full-spectrum bulbs so that I'm sitting in bright sunlight all day.
