It's taken me some effort to realise that other people will sometimes have the same blah opinion of Big Event Weddings as I do, *and* will do something about it rather than getting caught up in Having A Big Wedding.

Absolutely! (Though it's often more like "*start* commenting in other people's journals.") I do enjoy getting comments, and the best way to do that is of course to actually talk to other people too. :)
