It makes for the best pecan pie I have ever had.

Also, and I think I got this off the Trader Joe's bottle of grade B maple syrup: you can substitute 1 cup maple syrup for 1 cup sugar by adding 1/4 tsp baking soda and decreasing the other liquid in the recipe by 3 Tbsp. I've done this a couple of times and I recall it working pretty well.

(And, maybe but I wouldn't expect so. Will be an interesting experiment regardless!)
