Six AM doesn't seem nearly so early when the sun is already well over the horizon. (To the left, I expect that December and January are going to be made of difficult mornings. Possibly November and February, too.)

Said goodbye to [personal profile] uilos, who's off to Origins. This evening I head down to the airport myself to meet a couple of good friends who volunteered to act as cat-couriers and the two hopefully-not-complaining cats (at last). And then on Friday we wake up Too Damn Early to catch six o'clock flights to Toronto: them back to DC by way of Ottawa, and me to Origins.

Last night we put up about 2/3 of the art for the walls. This combined with the books and the dishes in the dishdrainer makes it look like someone really lives here. Now it just needs to be covered in a fine layer of cat hair.

Not really a lot to say lately. The weather has continued to be gloriously mostly-sunny and upper-teens. There are seagulls nesting on a rooftop a few stories below us, and the eggs hatched late last week. The three chicks are fuzzy and spotty-brown, and are up and walking around and flapping their stubby little wings.

I'm starting to feel settled in, I think. Next week I can start looking for People in earnest.

Yeargh!! There's a new Dominion promo set at Origins? Can I prevail upon you and uilos to procure one for me and send it my way? You would have my eternal gratitude!

Yeah. That sounds about right.
