good things

1. Chris-in-exile's exile is ending! He'll be out in Fairfax, which is a bit of a haul but not as bad as it might be. Tonight I'm going down to help him move in.
   
   
2. Tomorrow is my annual lunch with Steph.
   
   
3. My family gave me the best gift of all this Xmas: their absence. Parents are going to Arkansas, sister etc to Connecticut, and I get to stay home and play games.
   
   
4. There is motion on Secret Project Paper, after certain Brilliant Ideas were thwarted by practical considerations.
   
   
5. The sky has been several stunning shades of bluegrey over the course of the day.

In a store over Thanksgiving, I spotted and very, very nearly bought a T-shirt (even though I go for "pretty" clothes more these days, and have more Ts than I can wear now) that said
