Words are inadequate

I think they have-- my icons line up beside the dock unless I move them over. (Also, you can have the dock hide until you scroll over to it, which solves that problem.)

I have the dock on the right side because while I've often got my cursor over there for dealing with scroll bars or suchlike, I very infrequently scroll all the way over to the left side of the screen. Partly a right-handed thing on my part, also partly on theirs for setting up the windows that way.
