Steven Brust's new novel, Issola, was supposed to be out in April.

Current release date: July 6, 2001.

I am irritated. two and a half years I wait for the bloody thing, and they push it back another three months.

It's going to be thirty pages shorter than Dragon, too.

see, king wrote other stuff in the meantime. granted, some of it sucked, but some of it (did _eyes of the dragon_ come out inbetween 3&4? i know the revised _stand_ did) was pretty darn good.
there's been nothing out of brust since late 1998.
and isn't it getting on time for dark tower #5?

The Eyes of the Dragon rocked, I think I've read it 3 times now.. and both versions of the Stand. Green Mile came out in there, too.

I don't know if a 5th DT is merited--3 ended in a Cliffhanger to End All Cliffhangers, I don't know how 4 ended.

at least a 5th is required. Wizard and Glass was 80% Roland's backstory. kind of neat, but not great.

i much prefer The Gunslinger to the others... there was just so much more _mood_ there.

I'd probably have to reread the first three before I could continue, anyway.. wanna guess how long it'll take me to ever get there, given how many unread books I own right now?
