Dar Williams will be at the Birchmere in Alexandria on November 9 and 10. Tickets appear to be $30, which means they may go as high as $40 with surcharges. I'm definitely going this year. Anyone else interested?

(She's also at the Ram's Head in Annapolis on the eighth, but that's a Thursday and also far away.)

Interested, but don't know if I can get the days off work.

Possibly. Have to see what my weekend work schedule is like.

Gah! Especially since I couldn't go last year, have been not very concert-goey lately, have never seen her live and heard she was great to see live, etc, I definitely would like to go. However, I won't have a good idea as to whether that's practical until I get my syllabi the last week of August. Further complications due to the fact that I'm supposed to go to Charlottesville if I can for a friend's birthday the weekend before, which makes it more likely that I would have lots to do that weekend.

Anyway, to sum up: if I can, I will go, but I haven't the slightest idea whether I can, and won't for at least a month.

I'm always interested in concerts, but I've never heard Dar Williams. What's she like?

Count me in. Worth double-checking, but I believe all tickets for Birchmere shows are general admission, so everyone can buy their own. Just want to make sure folks show up around the same time and before it fills up too much so people can sit together.

Yeah. That sounds about right.
