I don't do ice skating because I've found that skates tend to kill my feet -- it feels like I'm standing on the blade down the center of my foot, instead of having full support of my sole. People have suggested that this was due to poor skates; "proper" skates shouldn't do that. Be that as it may, until someone can prove that I can get skates that don't kill my feet, I'm not skating.
