It happened with the optometrist trip two before this one, as well. I forget if that was for contacts or glasses. But that time they'd gotten the prescription seriously wrong on one eye and somewhat wrong on the other. "Hey," they said, "these things happen." No indication that they recognised that being without vision for several more days was a serious problem for me, or that they'd be taking any steps to correct it in the future.

I stopped going there.

This time, though, it's apparently just a need to break in my new prescription. Bleh.
