Review of Sphere: "And that, my children, is how Sphere made it to the screen." Perhaps not entirely work-safe, though it's a JPG scan of a newspaper clipping and not text.

And just in case there's someone out there who's not read this, Fenimore Cooper's Literary Offenses by Mark Twain. "[Cooper] saw nearly all things as through a glass eye, darkly." "There have been daring people in the world who claimed that Cooper could write English, but they are all dead now."

My brand-new seven-dollar toaster also sets off the smoke alarm. Perhaps the error lies in my accidental acquisition of unfrosted Pop-Tarts last weekend. Or maybe toasters just suck. Whatever. On the less grumpy side, I now own the awesomest board game ever, and there's a Game Day tomorrow.
