I had a moment like this morning, while driving into Virginia over the 14th Street Bridge.

Moon, near full and brilliant white, hanging behind the thinest veil of clouds, low to the horizon. To the east, just the begining faint tinge of pink and orange. The moon hanging over the still night-time lit towers of Roslyn, and reflecting off of the glass and polished steel. A rim of darkness where the Parkway runs in front of them, and then a brilliant streak of white on the Potomac from reflected white.

You really have to know the area to get it, but damn DC does have some lovely momments.
