The mysterious Quote Number Four was from The Puppet Masters. Partial credit for people who guessed the wide variety of other movies that that line has been in. [Edited to add in the next two lines, which maybe make it a bit more distinct.] Puppet Masters was a pretty good Heinlein adaptation [though almost its only competition is the goriest episode of Beverly Hills 90210 I ever saw], but sticks in my memory mostly as the movie that inspired me to call Donald Sutherland 'the poor man's Sean Connery.'

Went over to Nathan's place and played DOOM [the boardgame] with him and Urchin. Quite fun, though [as expected] Nathan the invader managed to squash us poor little marines. [Stupid frickin' hellknights.] New car handles quite well in the snow/ice, though I didn't go out on the highway at all. Yay front-wheel drive.

Scratchy throat and sinus headaches. Probably cold/flu/what have you. Picked up some Tylenol sinus on the way home, and am now rather woozy. Goodnight Gracie.

I didn't know it had been made into a movie, but it was a great book. :) (Might even be in my room somewhere, as I -think- I owned it when I read it, and I don't get rid of books I like. :)

Yeah. That sounds about right.
