Went to bed last night at quarter of eleven due to overwhelming frustration at various things (the final straw being Tech Bookstore's operating hours, which didn't allow me enough time to buy and read the books for my eleven o'clock today). Woke up at about midnight with a stabbing pain in my stomach. It faded and I dozed for a bit until it came back about twenty minutes later. Repeat until about four o'clock, at which point I dozed off and stayed asleep until my alarm went off at eight.

Went to my first two classes, and instead of going to T'ai Chi I hiked over to Schiffert Health Center, figuring maybe they can give me some idea of what's going on. Got told "We're booked up for today, come back tomorrow." So I make an appointment and head home. Slept for about an hour, made lunch. E came home, and I ate, figuring that maybe the pain was a result of gastric acid not having anything to chew on but the lining of my stomach.

So after lunch I went and laid down and winced for about half an hour, until E offered to take me to the Carilion after-hours walk-in. (yay health insurance,) Went there, got poked at a bit, and told it's probably just a stomach virus, and to take these painkillers (containing one-eighth of a milligram of drug, and the rest buffer) and if it still sucks on Satyrday to come in and have tests run.

Gah.

There were a good number of "virus/flu-like symptoms" calls yesterday for the rescue squads. I don't know if something in the water supply or just the large student influx but it certainly seems like a pattern.

It wasn't so much an offer as it was a "Go get in the car, and you have to walk because I can't carry you." I wasn't about to let you refuse to go.

Yeah. That sounds about right.
