I didn't either, until [livejournal.com profile] nixve handed it to me about six weeks ago.

Based on the trailer and the cast list it looks to be pretty loosely based on. The movie has the two magicians being much closer at first than the book does (making for, um, oddness). It also strips out the nifty present-day framing story, so I have absolutely no idea what the movie's denouement will consist of.

Still looks to be worth seeing, though. Christian Bale, and David Bowie as Nikola Tesla.
