If I see one more person slam both JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis in the same sentence, in an effort to prove that their new fantasy novel is "with-it" and "hip,"

I know exactly what you mean... my consolation is in knowing that in 50 years people will still be reading Tolkien, Lewis, and I'd bet Gaiman, but will never have heard of these other morons.

Also with you completely on the Aldrin thing. I'm frequently tempted to emulate his example.
