jazzfishYeah. So. Moving. Bert Isla was a *huge* help, even though he was only there for about half the time... he managed to get a lot of the heavy stuff (like the dressers). Other than that the day sucked. It's one thing to think "We'll have to move all this stuff ourselves," and another to actually have to do it. And you'd think (or at least I'd think) that people that have *used* the stuff would feel some obligation to help deal with it. Fuck you all.
Cats were ... interesting. Kai had never seen stairs before, and having to go down them to get to the litterbox and then back up to get to the food was an experience. Chaos vanished once we let them out of the bedroom, and turned up at about three in the morning. And Atticus (Lisa'a cat, who's about ten years old and an only cat) spent the evening hissing at everyone and yowling whenever Chaos or Kai got too close.
Kai actually started whining at about 5:30 because she couldn't find anyplace like home to sleep. Poor cat. (They're all okay now, except that Atticus won't enter a room with another cat.)
