Downtime doesn't really bug me-- it's a mostly volunteer operation at a huge scale, and I'm not paying a cent (due to having no cents, take that as you will). What bugs me is getting the error/failure message after the post has gone through, and being told to "try again later."
But hey. It's all good 95% of the time.

I've taken to checking to see if my post really went through before I try posting again--if I can even get through to do that. Sometimes, the client is smart enough to warn me "your post may have gone through, let's open the Last Entry to check".
