so. only a little later than promised....

we went to see _les mis_ on satyrday afternoon. it was quite cool. they had a revolve, and a very very cool set, and everyone involved did a very good job.

watched _gormenghast_ on sunday and monday. very pretty, and the characters were quirky. the script was a bit lacking (the ending felt rushed, and bits happened for no apparent reason other than that they were that way in the books), but all in all enjoyable.

got my drama paper back on tuesday. got an A. from this i conclude that i have absolutely no way of knowing how good anything i write is, and should stop worrying about it and just bloody write.

saw _amelie_ last night. very cute movie. fun. i didn't quite think it was as great as the rest of the world seems to think, but i'm glad i saw it.

emily is currently fighting with verizon and management and such, trying to figure out why our phones are currently echoing. this is an improvement over earlier, when they were apparently dialing two lines, but still irritating.

yawn.

Saw Les Mis where? I saw it at the Nat'l Theatre in DC, which rocked.

At the Roanoke Civic Centre, for less than $30 (matinee, balcony, and more than 20 people buying tickets at once).

Sounds similar to when I saw it with a group of 20-40 (I forget :) members/friends/parents of a French class at TJ. :)
