There -is- "if you used generative AI provide a reference document telling me what tools and how you used them". But yes. The instructor is explicit about allowing generative AI "in a totally unrestricted fashion, at no penalty, for any evaluation criteria excluding the midterm and final exam." I am seriously not happy about this but there's not much I can do.
