jazzfish: Owly, reading (Owly)

It's not Wednesday, but that's okay, because this isn't "what I'm reading." Apparently April is preorders month.

Arrived while I was away:
  • Untethered Sky, Fonda Lee's novella about rocs that hunt manticores and the ... falconers? ... that train/ride them.
  • Some Desperate Glory, Emily Tesh's space opera which I preordered on the strength of her Victorian fantasy duology Silver In The Wood and Drowned Country.
  • A Sleight of Shadows, Kat Howard's sequel to her contemporary-fantasy An Unkindness of Magicians, which I devoured over winter solstice back in 2021.
And arriving sometime this week: Steven Brust's Tsalmoth, a Taltos book that's a throwback to the pre-Phoenix days.

And then there's Ann Leckie's new Imperial Radch book and Martha Wells's fantasy The Witch King, arriving I think in May.

It's a good time to have time to read, is what I'm saying.
