Words are inadequate

I don't really do GIS but a bunch of my coworkers do, happy to share what I've picked up if that's useful. My wholly unsolicited general advice for swapping fields is to do an informational interview with somebody who does it before committing resources (e.g. time, money) to the endeavor.

I can vouch for the benefit of Doing Something Different, though, for sure. It's possible I will eventually burn out on my current thing, but maybe I'll just switch to something else again.
