yesterday was a day of mud. it poured down rain, and then emily and i went to wander around a construction site where they're building townhouses that she/we might want to buy. hence, mud. good thick red clay/mud. i think i grew two inches while walking around on the site.
didn't actually get to see the townhouses, either, because the mud was much worse over towards them. talked to a guy from the community building them, though. interesting.
got my first paper back. B+. could have been better. i was expecting a C... i felt (and still feel) like it was C work, but the professor liked it. maybe he was just sick of grading papers from his freshman english class and mine was just that good in comparison. :)
of course, that was on Alice in Wonderland, which is a fairly easy book. the next paper is on Trouble on Triton, by Samuel Delany, and is bloody dense. i have a vague idea of where i'm going but nothing especially concrete yet, meaning i'll be making it up as i go, and probably having to rewrite at the last minute. on such events do i thrive, except when i have to get up every morning at quarter past seven.
