I would much prefer to have in-unit laundry, but that is apparently a significant luxury in Vancouver. Older building pipes aren't built to handle it, so I have a choice of dishwasher and laundry. And given that the laundry is two doors down and $2.50 a load (on a reloadable laundry card, so I don't even have to have change), I'm okay with that tradeoff.
