shadowkat. Headachey today so this is the content you get.
1. Has a random person ever asked you for your phone number?
No.
2. Do you have freckles?
A few.
3. Ever stolen a street sign?
*sigh* No, but I've been in the car when someone did. Dammit, Larson.
4. How would you describe your last disappointment?
... disappointing. I don't do well with disappointment. Fixing that is on my to-do list.
5. Is there someone you absolutely cannot stand but have to tolerate?
Shadowkat sez Yes. Sigh. You can't choose your co-workers. and I can't improve on that response.
6. What’s the last thing you said out loud?
"Alright, guess I'm getting up."
7. What time is your alarm clock set for?
7:30 AM, because I had somewhere to be this morning. Usually I go alarm-less.
8. Do you get any magazines in the mail?
Nope.
9. Would you rather take a shower or a bath?
If time is no object, a bath. I like water.
10. Out of everyone you know, who has the most heart?
Heck if I know. For a long time my answer to this would have been "Little Mo" from high school, and I guess it still is.
11. How many beings live in your house?
Just me and the occasional spider.
12. How many cars have you ever owned?
Three. Glyndwr the white Mazda whose engine fell out on I-81 driving home after Xmas, after which I sold him to David from Waldenwork; Straylight the silver three-door Saturn, who I sold to Stephen when I moved to Vancouver; Hactar the black Volvo, my current ride. I'd prefer to not own a car but that is really not an option for non-urban life.
13. Can you do math in your head well?
Some, yeah. It felt like a necessity when I started playing 18xx games at the Gathering.
14. Does your house have air conditioning throughout, or do you have one that sits in your window?
Neither. I own a portable A/C but it's currently with Mya back in Surrey.
15. What’s your least favorite chore to do around the house?
Cleaning the bathroom.
16. What’s your favorite flavor of potato chips?
Dill pickle. Sour cream, if I'm in the States.
17. Do you ever read the weather forecast?
I check the weather on my phone, yes.
18. Do amusement park rides make you sick?
They do not, which seems to make me something of an outlier among adults. I am constantly on the lookout for a theme park buddy. Julianne will do coasters but not the spinny rides.
19. What kind of cheese do you put on your sandwiches?
If I'm putting cheese on a sandwich I'm making, it's usually generic grocery store cheddar. If I'm getting it from a sandwich place, often provolone.
20. How old were you when you got your driver’s license?
Sixteen, probably less than "sixteen and a month".
21. Do you have any bumper stickers on your car?
I don't, and I keep thinking I should.
22. How many jobs have you had?
Um. Eleven, I guess? I think that's right.
23. What’s your favorite kind of soup?
Meh. I don't tend to consider soup to be food. Ramen, if pressed.
24. Do you still have your wisdom teeth?
Nope. Had them out the afternoon of a big party in high school, at which I got to see my ex and my former best friend making out. Fun times.
25. Did you have a swing set in your yard when you were a child?
The house in Fairfax had a flimsy A-frame swing set. About a year after we moved to Fayetteville, Dad put in a pretty serious jungle-gym thing. I remember helping (or "helping," I was ten) dig the post-holes for the poles, and mixing and pouring the concrete.
26. What was your favorite book you had to read for school?
Hm. If Catch-22 was assigned reading, which it probably was, then that... but it might have been a "pick one of this very large selection" thing, which only half counts. In which case, The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien, a Vietnam and post-Vietnam memoirish. Pretty sure that book was the reason I turned anti-war.
27. Last wedding attended?
Alisha & Amos, two summers ago. I still don't like weddings (my own excepted) but that one was alright.
28. How long was your longest drive in a car?
Longest drive, Fort to Vancouver or vice versa, around eleven hours. Longest car trip, DC to Arkansas or vice versa, fifteen hours or so.
29. Do you frequent social media more or less now?
"Now"? Probably more.
30. What is something that never fails to make you feel accomplished?
Vacuuming the entranceway so I'm no longer stepping on tracked-in grit in bare feet.
31. What kind of cake did you have for your last birthday?
Pretty sure I made myself a cinnamon creme pie, but that was, like, five months ago, who can remember that far back.
