I missed Sunreturn last year. I missed a lot of things last year, and this year too. Almost missed this one again.

No Tarot pull this year but the Oblique Strategies told me to Listen to the quiet voice.

I've lit a candle. I'm taking the next two days off from work; I intend to spend them on my own in my apartment, as much as I can.

A failed harvest, for sure. But perhaps I'll learn to learn from my failures. Wouldn't that be something.

Huh. I have a tarot deck... somewhere. Sacred Rose, dating back to college.

I used to draw random cards junior year, the really difficult year. Ten of swords wasn't unusual.

Ha! Sacred Rose is the deck I use. It was a gift in eleventh grade, and I used it quite a lot until it told me something I didn't want to hear, and I said "Oh, fuck you" and put it away for several years. Eventually I made my peace with it, and broke it out sporadically thereafter. Been trying to make more of a habit of it; it /is/ helpful to me.

I have not seen the ten of swords in long enough that I actually went through the deck last spring to make sure it was still complete. (It was.) Small favours.
