I expect it's part cynicism and part "my baby sister is getting married" distress, which I clearly remember Tucker deriding Karin Arnst for when her little sister got married years ago :)

That said, I'm baffled by people who get married at a young age, and doubly baffled by people who stick with their high school sweetheart/first love, despite distance etc. My roommate Keith is doing this, and I want to tell him that he's making a big mistake, but since I'm not in the relationship, I can't really say.

Distress, my ass. I'm half *hoping* this goes down in flames. I'd really thought my baby sister had better sense than to get married a year and a half out of high school, but whatever.

Yeah, okay. Sorry. There's a lot of stored-up bitterness between me and my family that's just this weekend started to seep into the cold light of reason. (Also, by that point Jynxie had managed to live on her own for a year, something my baby sister hasn't managed quite yet.)

And you never know... Jynxie and Rob are doing alright.

Actually, no. He's a decent guy. This makes me wonder why he's hanging around with her.
She just turned twenty a couple weeks ago. So... a year older than you.
