teeth, and other stuff

getting a crown is kind of weird. in the first place, it's a two-step process. they have to send an impression of the tooth off to 'the lab' before they can actually give you a crown, and this takes around two weeks.
anyway. what they do is, they whittle the tooth down to a nub, and mount a temporary crown on it for that couple of weeks. it's... weird. i haven't had this much metal on the outside of my teeth in... count count count... ten and a half years. creepy. it tastes metallic, and i think that drinking a coke for lunch has had an astringent effect on the gum around it.
whee. my baby sister is getting married this weekend. the only positive aspect of this is that i'll get to see my aunt susan, who i haven't seen in years... not since robert lunsford's wedding. (come to think of it, i haven't seen robert since then either. hmm.) anyway. it's kind of irritating that my paper is due next monday, but them's the breaks. maybe i can get it finished by thursday night. it could happen.
