Published in Germany in 2000 as Ohne Furcht und Adel, Citadels was nominated for the 2000 German Game of the Year and is an exciting addition to the Fantasy Flight line."

"The french publisher originally wanted to make the game in english as well, but finally resigned. However, I had to buy the english rights back from them, at a rather high price ;-) and after lots of troubles, before I could sign with a US publisher....
FFG always works with its own artists, so the US edition of Citadels will have different graphics than the french and german one. They promised me that they will be as beautiful.
The definitive shape of the US edition, scheduled for march 2002, has not been settled yet, but there will very probably be some new features in it, like new characters or new purple buildings. We're thinking about it..."
