I knew of bass and treble (obviously, those are the ones everyone knows, because they're the ones that get used for upwards of 95% of all music), and I know tenor clef (a fifth up from bass) because there's some cello music written in it. But... yeah. Weird and difficult to read and awkward and all that.
Go for it! There is no such thing as Too Old To Learn. (There may be Not Enough Hours In The Day, though. :)
