Words are inadequate

I believe that, but I really don't remember the learning process for the first year at all. Best of my recollection, I was always able to play cello in first position with my elbow properly extended. I recognise that this is unlikely but there it is.

The left-hand hold has been getting easier over the past few days. I can't tell if it's actually easier or if I'm just doing it wrong. Will find out on Wednesday.

There *is* a company making somewhat less pricey carbon-fibre instruments, so you'd only be out three or four grand depending on the exchange rate this week...
