coming back from xiansburg last night, the fog was thick enough that you couldn't see more than 15 feet in front of you. very very cool. i love fog. i have had a thing for fog since my freshman year at college when i sat on the chapel at three in the morning and watched the lights on the drillfield through the fog...

"Everything you see is grey and lifeless, as though covered with a veil of ash. Sound is muted, and there is a faint acrid odor."
I can't explain why I think that couple of lines is so cool. It just is.

Well, I do love fog like that.. though I'm not terribly fond of -driving- in fog like that. Did go play light-up frisbee in a cemetery from 12-3am in the fog once, though. :)

Or at night without fog, though you'd be surprised how hard it is to catch a glowing thing out of the air in the dark.. depth perception is shot.

Yeah, it was amazingly foggy, and I think my friend's logic went something like this:
It's really foggy out.
I bet the cemetery looks cool right now.
Let's go play frisbee in it!

So he gathered 4 other people, including myself--who provided a light-up frisbee--bought a 12 of Corona and a pack of cloves, and headed out. The cemetery is awesome--at least as old as Ithaca, and probably no one new in it in decades if not longer.. beautiful. And a fun night from 12-3am in the fog. :)
