Meanwhile: I was telling Cassie last night about my reading as a kid. I was usually disappointed by books because it said it was going to be about dinosaurs or spaceships or a war or something and it's actually about all these people and their annoying relationships with each other and why can't someone just write some fiction where there are no characters and it's mostly about math? Cassie: "Yeah, I think you were definitely autistic."

I did finally start to get why there are characters in things when I was about 21, and I started watching TV.
