I found the first year out here to be tough sun-wise. Going to work when it was dark and coming home when it was dark was just rough that first year. But somehow, in subsequent years it didn't bother me nearly as much (although I still find the Solstice exciting in anticipation of longer days). I don't know why it got easier so quickly, but I hope you find the same next year!
