Even apart from the bit where there are five different people with different ideas as to what the main focus of my job is supposed to be I am irritated.
There are two people through whom everything that is written must go. These people are Liz and Donna. I've been dealing with Liz, because she gives me reasonable assignments (as opposed to "Write this press release. Now rewrite it. A lot.") and give me useful editing comments.
So I'm rewriting a tutorial, a lot. Liz has gone on vacation early, like the wise person that she is. She'll be back next week. Meanwhile I answer to Donna.
Comments from Liz have been things like "Rewrite this section to mention OpenVera." Comments from Donna tend to be "Go through and find all the places where you italicized this, and bold it instead. Then find where you bolded this other, and make it bold italics." Aggravating.
But I'll be gone home in eight hours. Plus I get my hour-long lunch break.

Hey..

At least she doesn't want you "emphasizing" things.
Y'know, with "quotes" and all.
