I've always just printed my tickets at the station:

"If you've booked your reservation and paid for your tickets online at Amtrak.com, you can pick up and print out your tickets from a Quik-Trak kiosk. Use your credit card to activate the kiosk and enter your reservation number, or scan the barcode on your printed confirmation page or email. The Quik-Trak kiosk will print your tickets and you'll be on your way."
