Given the reviews I've seen for it, the cost, and the suggestion made (in the comments to the LJ post by one of the other members of the trio of theater-goers) that an executive decision was made, because of atrocious lyrics, to make the songs in the musical unable to be clearly heard, I almost wonder if the true inspiration for "Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark" wasn't Sam Ramie's movies but "Springtime for Hitler" instead.
