My main reservations about B5 are 1) that it may not have aged well and 2) the mess of compacting the season 4+5 story into season 4, and then unexpectedly being at loose ends for season 5. Well, that plus the length.

You mean the Dune miniseries from *mumble* years ago? It was Not Bad, but very short. I've heard nothing good at all about the sequel and am staying away.
