So there's this thing going around DW/LJ, where you post what you'd like for Winter and then check around and see if anyone you know wants something you can provide. It seems like a fine and nifty thing to do, on both counts.

WHISTLER: I want peace on earth and goodwill towards men.

ABBOTT: We're the United States government. We don't do that sort of thing.

I don't need or want much in the way of Stuff: first, if I want something I can and generally do buy it for myself; and second, if I get Stuff I'll just have to move it, or rather pay to have someone else move it. Hence, roughly ordered by likelihood:

The possible

1) Something you think I ought to have.

2) Physical letters, or postcards, or packages, or whatnot. (My address.)

3) Ongoing encouragement to Keep Writing.

4) Recommendations for a good (preferably local) tattoo artist.

The unlikely

5) Kisses.

6) A GM. More specifically, a GM and two or three other players for a game every Tuesday or Wednesday night, one high in characterization and intrigue and low in number-crunching and die-rattling. (I expect I shall have to provide this myself. Oh well.)

7) Awesome Vancouverites.

The nigh-impossible

8) Criterion Collection DVDs of John Woo's The Killer or Carol Reed's The Third Man.

9) Kink.

10) Aspects: A Novel with Sorcery. (Though I'd be just as happy with The Splendor and Misery of Bodies, of Cities.)

heh-- I was about to ask you for an address, actually; I'm haphazardly trying to compile a christmas card list. Or perhaps just a christmas letter list, only we still have to write that, too. Hm.

I gave up on Xmas cards long ages past. I do try to write real letters to the people I don't see often, but that's taken a nosedive in the past year as well. O, time.

My holiday card list is sporadic and amorphous, and sometimes gets sent out for valentine's day or something instead of december-holidays. But everyone likes getting mail from real people, right?

What kind of tattoo are you looking for? I know awesome ones for very floral/nature motifs (popular with the Tribal Belly Dance crowd) and others for more traditional or abstract ink (the place where I get my ears pierced has an excellent reputation for this).

What I'm currently contemplating is half a yin/yang on the inside of each wrist. (Context roughly 2/5 down the page.) It's still very much in the 'contemplating' stage but it's at the point where I think I need to contemplate outside my own head.

The place where I get a few more holes put in my head is Fatty's Custom Tattooz in Dupont Circle. They seem like really good folks and have good reviews on tattoo sites, but I do not have any tattoos of my own, I can only give so much of a judgment.
