jazzfish: an open bottle of ether, and George conked out (Ether George)

I have thoughts on the Facebook/LJ divide, but they're slow to gel this morning, so you get a link salad instead.

Technical difficulties at the Supreme Court: "Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr.-- who is known to write out his opinions in long hand with pen and paper instead of a computer-- asked what the difference was 'between email and a pager?'"

Getting Naked Every Night: "After a show it may be hard for an audience member to convey to friends exactly what it was that made him or her enjoy a Girlyman show so much, in the same way it can be hard to re-create for others what made a dinner party so great. This leads to a lot of postings on their fan page of conversion stories of the previously skeptical." Yeah, that sounds about right. Good article, too.

Ta-Nehisi Coates: Commemorating Confederate History Month: The Jourdon Anderson Edition: wow. (TNC has been on a roll this past month, thanks to Gov. McDonnell.)

Hatetris: "This is bad Tetris. It's hateful Tetris. It's Tetris according to the evil AI from 'I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream.'" I got nine! And I managed to convince it to give me a few straight pieces, too. (See also.)

Okay, I was ready to cut the Justices some slack, like the question might have been something more like "Do we have any legal reason to differentiate between text messages and emails?" as opposed to wanting a technical primer, but having read the article... yikes!

I hate you for having made me aware of Hatetris.
